A site map (or sitemap) is a list of pages of a web site accessible to crawlers or users. It can be either a document in any form used as a planning tool for web design, or a web page that lists the pages on a web site, typically organized in hierarchical fashion. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site.

The site map we include in our psd to wordpress conversions is not a plugin. It is an actual page template that will give your visitors the ability to view your latest posts, select a specific category to view or check out the archives for past posts. They can even view pages or views posts via tags.

What are the benefits of having a site map page?

Site maps can aid in the improvement of search engine optimization of a site by ensuring that all the pages can be found. This is really important if a site utilizes dynamic access to content such as Flash or JavaScript menus that do not include typical HTML links.
